Nutrition and Food Services

The Dietary Services department provides optimal nutritional care and quality food service for residents, staff, and guests.

This service is delivered by ensuring that every resident is served fresh and delicious meals that meet their nutritional requirements in a pleasant and homelike atmosphere. The food preferences of each resident are always considered and the weekly menu is available in each residential unit.

The Dietitian manages the menu planning, considering residents’ taste, texture, nutritional requirements, and dietary restrictions. The Dietitian visits each resident, contacts family members about dietary issues and concerns, and provides information on health and nutrition to staff and volunteers. Residents who can and choose to get their daily meal from Dave’s Café may do so but are responsible for the cost of the meal.
