Fundraising Initiative in support of Dementia Care
The York Care Foundation is embarking on an exciting and essential $150,000 fundraising initiative to support a renovation project on Tower 2, to enhance the lives of residents living with dementia.
Much has been learned about memory care since the advanced memory care floor known as Tower 2, opened at York Care Centre in 2010. We now know that this environment does not include the specialized features necessary to support the cognitive, emotional, and physical well-being of residents with dementia.
With your help, we will redesign Tower 2 into a space that encourages physical and mental engagement, enhances nutritional intake, fosters a sense of well-being, and provides comfort to families and caregivers.

Since 2007, York Care Foundation has been creating opportunities to give, supporting excellence in long-term care and enhancing the quality of life for every resident at York Care Centre.
Board of Directors
The York Care Foundation board of directors is made up of volunteers who work together to deliver fund-raising activities on behalf of residents, clients, families, and staff of York Care Centre. The Board works with professional staff to ensure a strong governance model, stewardship and accountability.
